Check out this custom Cinchworm for Alison, aren't the colors beautiful? This particular picture shows the sleeping hood which is snapped to the shoulder straps to support a sleeping baby/child's head. When not in use the Cinchworm's sleeping hood can be rolled and snapped to the inside of the carrier as a head rest/neck support.

Cinchworm Carrier FAQ's

Questions about the carrier (fabrics, testing, sizing, etc)

Will the shoulder and waist straps fit me? Can I get longer shoulder or waist straps? The Cinchworm is designed to fit wearers from sizes 4-18. If you have specific questions about fit, please email me at cinchworm@yahoo.com. The cost for extended shoulder and waist webbing is $5.

What type of testing have your carriers undergone? I have personally worn the carrier with a 40 lb child for over 1 hour. We also have pulled the carrier at all stress points trying to tear it or cause damage. The webbing used on the Cinchworm was tested for up to 800 lbs by the manufacturer and the buckles are the same brand used for climbing. To further add to the strength of the carrier, all straps and webbing are secured with an X box and triple stitched. I have over the past year had many "testers" test the carrier with many different sized children. The carrier has held up well to testing and frequent usage.

What type of fabric do you use?
The fabric is a heavyweight brushed denim.

Can I get a custom carrier made? I am happy to customize the print fabric but am unable to change the other materials. I've tested every component that I use for strength and durability and am not comfortable using fabrics/webbings that I am not familiar with.

Do you offer sleep hoods for sale?
Will my baby have enough head support to be in the Cinchworm? Because we feel it is important to be able to use 1 carrier for all of your babywearing days, all Cinchworm carriers come standard with a sleeping hood. If you have a younger baby, you can roll the sleep hood up and snap into the inside of the carrier to provide a headrest for a younger baby.

Can I get a slipcover for my Cinchworm? Currently, the Cinchworm has a separate chest strap and waist snaps which will allow the carrier to be outfitted with slipcovers. We will start offering slip covers for purchase in the coming months.

Will the cinching hardware hurt my baby or dig into his/her legs? No, it should not dig into legs or cause any discomfort. The Cinchworm has a panel that covers the cinching hardware to prevent it from bothering your child.

Policy Questions (shipping, payment, warranty, returns, etc)

How long after I purchase until I get my items? In-stock carriers will ship within 3 business days. Items are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Though we cannot be sure how long it will take for an item to arrive, the USPS states that they try to get Priority Mail delivered within 2-3 days. Custom carriers are quoted at 5 weeks from the time that I receive the print fabric, but are usually done much more quickly. I require a deposit to start working and the carrier will ship upon completion and final payment.

How much does shipping cost? Shipping within the US is included in the purchase price. International customers should email us at cinchworm@yahoo.com for a shipping quote. Cinchworm is not responsible for items once they are shipped, so while insurance is not included in the purchase price, it is recommended that buyers add it at their expense.

What kind of payment do you accept? Payment can be made via funded or credit card PayPal, Checks, and US Money Orders. Orders will not ship until the check/echeck has cleared (approximately 2 weeks). If you are interested in paying with a check or money order, please email me for a mailing address.

What is your return policy?
We will accept returns that are unwashed and unworn within 30 days of your order, but you must contact us first to get a return authorization . There will be a 10% restocking fee on all returns and the buyer will be responsible to pay return shipping.

Do you offer a warranty on your carriers? Materials and workmanship are guaranteed for 90 days after the date of purchase. However, our warranty is only extended to the original owner. Carriers will be repaired if possible, however, if a repair is not possible, the carrier will be replaced.
